Dawes wildcat, Dawes Ranger or a lugged mountain bike

Hello all,
I am looking for a lugged mountain bike for some light touring. Not too concerned with condition, as will strip and restore and rebuild. The Dawes Wildcat or Ranger would be ideal. but willing to consider anything lugged.

I am 5'9", but with long legs. I ride 56cmx56cm road bikes. not 100% sure how this would translate into a mountain bike....

Got an 18" Dawes can't remember the model off hand maybe rough edge it has funky paint work. Includes frame cromo fork stem bars and seatpost.

It is lugged Reynolds 500 or 501 tubing not sure which :roll:

Can supply bits with it.
