For sale; 2 Dawes Super Galaxy's bought new in 1991. 1 size 60, one 50.
These tourers have been well loved, including numerous tours in Europe and as far a field as NZ and therefore will make a wonderful restoration project.
Super Galaxy 531 ST 60cm
Frame measures C-T 60cm. Dent in top tube on right hand side, few patches of rust.
Deore DX front and rear mechs. (3x7 speed)
Shimano friction shifters.
Front and rear pannier racks.
Lumotec dyno lights.
Dual flat/SPD pedals.
Fairly new Deore XT rear wheel (loads of life left in rim)
Loads of life left in Marathon tyres.
Selle Italia saddle.
Seatpost and quill stem DO move.
Could do with new F wheel fairly soon(rims pretty worn), new rear mudguard, new brake pads and cables, chain and sprockets. Therefore, this would make a great project for someone.
