Dawes Merit Model 1963 57cm Needs Complete Overhaul NOW SOLD

I recently bought this "blind" in the hope of it requiring a little bit of tinkering to get it up and running, but upon receipt I can see it needs a complete overhaul, something I don't have the time nor money for, alas. It's covered in rust, and all moving parts need either replacing or restoring. I still think it's a handsome bike, despite its rat look. 27" wheels. The seat tube is 57cm from the centre of the crank to the top, and the top tube is 56cm. Perfect size for me at 5'11", 32" inseam.

Blimey that's nice . I spent my youth mending bikes like those at my local bike shop...I spent so much time there hanging around they took me on as a mechanic
