One thing with the CB and the Dawes is that they have 27 1/4" wheels which can be a bit of a pain for buying tyres or replacing rims etc.

I think the CB is worth £200+ assuming that the wheels are true and BB headset and wheels all have good bearings.

If you found the same bike locally and was on ebay without postage it would sell for (as Peachy says) £100- £150

Seller also has a Ribble with 700c wheels which looks good to me.

One thing you might not have thought of is that you likely will not be able to just take the freewheel off and replace it with a singlespeed one. The reason being that you cannot get the correct chainline. You'll probably have to redish the wheel and move axle spacers from one side to the other.

Here’s a 24.5” Claud Butler Regent Circa 1990-1992 that has 700c wheels in good condition
