I currently own a restored Dawes Wildcat (see picture, bike on slopes of Monte Perdido in the Pyrenees). I could really do with a larger frame - it is 21.5", so the due to the saddle height, the weight is shifted too far over the rear axle, making the front end a little twitchy on steep slopes.
This could be solved either with a longer chain stay; so either a large Ranger or Countryman (not sure if these came in 23" frames), or a larger 23" frame Cougar, all of which are the preferred 531 tubing (not to be too dismissive of 501 of course). If anyone was considering selling any of these things, I'd be interested. I don't mind about the condition as I'd try to restore it to its original state anyway, if necessary.
