Here was one of the opportune times to visit Fizik (if you like funky shoes as I do) - they were just designing David Millar's final season's race shoes, each race a new shoe representing part of his career iirc.

Perhaps even the forerunner to the 'shoe doping' extravaganza that's with us now.

The shoes are interesting and it's not as though he's the only cheat. It's still full of them including an unrepentant one who's now WC.
