Re: Dave Yates Vulcan.

Fantastic job Carl. When I knew where you were going with this I wondered how long it would take to source all that Mavic kit. Glad you didn't hold out for the seatpost as that could've taken years! Really lovely build mate

Cheers Adrian. I almost wanted to use a nice alloy fluted post, with the flutes painted black given some of the road choices.

Re:

WOW! Loving that Carl.

What a fantastic looking bike. That Mavic kit is something else.

Well done mate, you must be proud of how it's turned out.

You just need to find that Lloyd e-stay now...

Re:

That's a real beauty. Love it.
I like the shifters mounted on underside.
Gives it a clean look. Are they comfortable to use like that?

CheersG, im glad the gearing all works...lol, thank god for those friction shifters.....lol.

I like it, and still feel the need to fettle some of the spec choices, but given whats ahead of me at the moment, im going try to hang parts on frames rather than loose parts.

Pics could be a lot better too.

Overburys and Lloyd.

That's all fair enough. Nice to see it all together just the same.

How did you manage to find the Mavic cranks and mechs? They don't come up very often.

Would be cool to get yours and my Donkis together to see how the paint matches.

Shifters underside is a NOD to the old days here really. I don't think it would work so well indexed, but as a friction shifter they do work well, Smaller gear ratio helps, otherwise you would longer thumbs pushing the reach on the shifter

crikey!!!

absolutley stunning carl, the balance of everything is just right with this, not many estay bikes look classy but this just broke the mould for me ! love it

tips hat in ore :)
