Just arrived here to me, so no pictures yet, but a rather beautiful Dave Yates Custom/Donkis Nob frame.

Not sure exactly what it is yet so i have emailed Dave Yates and will see what he says.
It's all beautifully filet brazed, with the ovalized Columbus tubing front traingle and Reynolds 753 rear triangle.

This is going to be a lovely bike.

I'm currently thinking repaint, Middleburn/Suntour mix of bits, pace RC30's and some liberal splashes of titanium.

More details and pictures to follow soon.

A couple of pics. The bare frame as it is now and the built up bike as I bought it.
Full plans will be revealed once I’ve heard back from Dave Yates.

NO.

I think I agree, it’s a bit of a messy colour.

Condition looks lovely, just not my bag on the colour.

If you do refinish, a cool touch would be to buy a MT Zefal alloy pump, and have it colour matched to the frame, you wont find many of these with the pump pegs where they are, if any.

Very cool.

Re: Dave Yates Custom/Donkis nob

Confirmed by Dave Yates. It's a 1993 Donkis Nob.
Whoo whoop.
This is going to be a cracking build.

Re: Dave Yates Custom/Donkis nob

Love the colours on that and the whole build! certainly unusual but it pulls it off nicely. Those wheels are a real collectors' piece
