Dave Yates and Orange Prestige.....Both finished builds p.5

Abso bloody lutely awesome!

Both of them!

Was drooling over the Dave Yates, then saw the Prestige.

Subtle colouring on the DY, unusually vibrant on the Prestige.
That is pure, retrobike porn!

Dibs if you decide to (stupidly) sell either of them, even though that is probably highly unlikely!!

Holy guacamole... things of beauty... BOTM?

Love the Prestige, matching the frame with the Pace forks is tip-top!

Nice

Lovely! The orange would just about make it into dayglow BOTM lol.
Seriously well done amigo, Inspiring!

You see, i told you many moons ago that Pink was your inner colour, and clearly it is.

They both look amazing, but I am drawn to the Orange just slightly over the Yates, its just the colour that draws you in. Very sexy in a bike style.

I may have had a peek at the DY whilst it was at Graphic shack so was really looking forward to seeing that one built and it hasn't disappointed! Great bike, great paint, great spec! What's the stem on that, not heard of m.steel before?

I would be interested to see the colour of the Orange in the metal, I have always liked the purple colour and for my taste this is a bit pink but still an incredible job yet again!!!

Attention to detail is spot on (as usual!), and I particularly love the radially spoked Pace wheel at the front and minty fresh Orange control set.

Top job

Are you going to do a thread on comparing all your bikes? I think you need an Overbury's now

Both very nice - too nice even! As both of these bikes were workhorses BITD.

SO... what do they ride like?

I picked a Dave Yates over a Prestige back in 93 and need to know whether I made the right choice! And as you've built them so similar I don't think anyone would be better qualified to make the comparison!

Great job on both builds there.

Oddly enough, although I would class myself as an Orange aficionado - it's the Dave Yates I'm drawn to if I had to make a decision.

Attention to detail on both is stunning though.

Cheers,

prestige

both look great carl, but am drawn to the prestige, and am pleased to have supplied the stem and bars they have gone to a excellent home. those rc 30,s have got me thinking  ,i have a set to put on my orange and may be tempted to colour them instead of re chroming.
the prestige was the bike that re kindled by love of the bike after 10 years, and that is a beauty :D
