it does look odd, but the DY did make custom frames, and if that's what the customer wants? Could be for modern forks?

The chap selling it got it as part of a deal for a racer, and knows nothing about it. The angle just looks really steep to me, but it's hard to tell from those pics

Without a straight side-on shot it's hard to tell, but this looks a little like it's had a front impact to me, which would also account for the odd-looking angle in the other pictures, also, if it was designed to be run with a longer travel fork, would it not have a slacker head-angle rather than a steeper one? Mere speculation, but it would be nice to know either way.
