Dave Lloyd, with a difference

Looks good but I think the fork is too fat, it looks a little out of place with those thin frame tubes

Re:

That's my thinking Foz.

The annoying thing is Aprebic make some much thinner curved blade 650C road forks, but I can't find anyone that sells them, other than the factory in Taiwan..... Unless anyone here knows different. ;)

Re:

As Foz says, looking great except for the slightly incongruous forks.

How about some chrome ones? Not excessively heavy (10g more than chromed Columbus SL forks), very pretty and cheap enough to get the build on the road while you track down something a little more esoteric.

Re:

I think chrome forks would work!

I also think black bar tape and red tyres. Cranks are spot on though!

But what do I know! No need for an answer, BTW!

Mike, don't start on the bartape - did you change the tape on the giant yet?

You may not believe this, but Mrs Muz saw the bike for the first time on Saturday. After the initial suspicion, she commented ' I'm not sure about the white bar tape' FFS!
So I decided to swap it with the black from my Jackson. But it would not come off very well at all, and after initially taking off slivers of the tape under it, broke completely! However, the white came off easily, and is now on the Jackson, which is looking great.
Excuse me, off to buy some black now!

You buggers!

Ironically, I do have a new pack of white as spare, as I wasn't sure about celeste on the Bianchi when I built it, but that is staying, so don't even go there!

Anyway, back on topic

Re:

I found the BLB forks last week when I was doing a google trawl, they are very much the right style, I have a couple of pairs for Rourke forks that look almost identical, plus it would make headset and stem choice a lot easier so I'll give the matter some more thought.

As for bar tape, you can be as silly as you like Mike, but we all know that white is the only choice.

Re:

I have got some pale blue, going spare? Got it for the 'Jackson' that wasn't! Grrrrr
