Pretty much made up my mind, test ride tomorrow but what would you pick. Aesthetically I find one slightly better than the other but spec wise one for me is significantly better. Please feel free to comment on either :D I'm buying for mainly commuting but will also be used as a winter road bike and country lane purposes. And I may even try a CX race.

without knowing (or being able to clearly see) the opposing specs, I would always plump for Cannondale...I luv's em.

Proper Marmite brand though.
All I know is my current Dale (hardtail) gets me over all terrains without quibble, shows no sign of braking, is very lightweight, and looks gorgeous!. Plus, im a heavyweight so all the more reason to be impressed.

Heard good things about Cube though.

Report back when youve bought one, id love to hear some honest reviews of CX bikes as ive been thinking of dabbling for a while.

ha ha both 105, also a cannondale fan from BITD :D my first mtb was a dale. The cube has easton wheels and forks though with some other named components.

Cannondale... the Cube looks as if you'd get toothpaste out of it if you squeezed it :)

To be honest they both look nice when new, but most modern bikes seem to degenerate in a very short time. Rusting bolts, fading stem/post etc.
My brothers Cube mtb looked nice when he bought it new but in a year's time it has gone down the drain dramaticly
Better buy a nice 2nd hand frame and get some quality parts that will last longer than the stock rubbish on these bikes
:?

....... sorry for the rant, my vote goes to the C'dale :D only because for me Cube reflects all that I dislike about modern bikes

yo its a new bike on the bike2work scheme over here. Second hand not an option I'm afraid.

Speak to our resident cross expert, Wu-Tangled.

I'll see if he pops by :) though principally it'll be commuter/winter duties the CX aspect is a bonus.
