Cycling pet hates

The woman who cycled along in the middle of the road in front of me tonight for 500m and didn't pedal for most of it as it was a gentle hill.

In the dark, and rain, with no lights or reflectors. With a handbag.

And as I eventually got past her I realised she was sending a text message.

I can't remember the last time I wanted to get out the car and give a cyclist a bollocking so much. I think if I hadn't been a cyclist I would have tried to overtake her earlier.

My pet hate too - no lights, no reflectors, no brain!!!

Usually we see them at work after they've been 'scraped up with a shovel'

MAMILs - it's the little things.

Like the guy with a £4K S-Works Tarmac with SRAM Red who wanted the lightest wheels he could get.

Which he then had then fitted Durano Plus with anti-puncture strips - because the most important thing to him was to have a snazzier bike than his mates and .. to not puncture.

In the big scale of things - it's a drop in the ocean - but for some reason I find that more annoying because of the sheer amount of thought and trouble it took to get here!

Puntures, in the end of a finger by a single strand of gear/brake cable usually oily or greasy too. A reet stinger.

snobs who are stuck in there own little worlds and slag off everyone else........like those found on certain websites!

the state of roads/cycleways.......inside lanes are littered with glass, metals and general crap!

robbing bastards......i hate the fact you cant leave a bike for 1 second......even in the sticks!
