Dirt Disciple
This is, in part, a story of life's circles. Four years ago, my daughter and I went to a pool party hosted for her soccer team by one of the team moms. The mom and I did some chatting that drifted to mountain bikes. Turns out, she was a young Crested Butte resident in 1984, and rode the Crested Butte to Aspen event. She produced a Korean bicycle magazine with an article on the event, which I scanned. As you can see from Donna's photo, it is no surprise she was featured. My friends from San Diego and I are in the crowd photo.
(Added note: this may have been the 1983 event reported in an early 1984 magazine. I was there both years and more, so they sort of run together.)
Now I'm off to run a Hash. Woohoo! Miles of deep shiggy and a keg of microbrew!
