Cracked Headtube - repairable?

I wouldn't even consider doing anything with that, other than cutting it up and chucking it in the aluminium recycling bin.

It really isn't worth repairing. It is recycling material as soon as a crack appears.

Iron horse are a well known brand although i dont kno wmuch about that frame specifically.

Id probably say it is better than your (newer) cracked db frame.

I wouldn't contend repairing that frame. You don't know what forces resulted in that crack and where else in the frame the rest of the energy went.

I wouldn't bother. Theoretically you could weld it, but you'd need to re heat treat and shotvoeen the whole grange again to restore the structural integrity.
