Diamond Back Fan
Onto the rear.
21 years ago, younger, more naive and with a combination of more disposable income plus staff discount, my Coyote needed its and my own first set of disc brakes. Being the year 2000 and in the UK, Hope were the obvious choice. I'd already bought Big Un hubs in preparation, using with Combat multi use rims and V-Brakes in the interim - Combat rims seen in the earlier photos.
I duly ordered a set of Hope DH4 brakes, with Pro levers and 183mm rotors front and back. When they arrived neither the front or rear fitted.
After a phone conversation with Hope, we ascertained that my Marzocchi Bomber Z1 alloy had a 'Formula' mount not international standard. All Hope could offer was their two piston C2/O2 brake instead of the DH4 to fit that mount. Instead of swapping brakes, I ordered the Junior T forks to replace the Z1.
At the back, turns out that Coyote (Fastrax) had put the IS brake mount in the wrong place, about 10mm out. Hope were aware of issues and the 183mm rotor went back and a custom 175mm rotor was supplied free of charge in its place.
