Got two of my wheelsets running tubeless now, fairly easy to do - I use the schwalbe tyre assist it works like a charm!

The other main upgrade I’ve done is a dropper post, these bikes have a weird 30.0mm seatpost size but the TranzX 27.2mm dropper with the right shim and you’re good to go

Yeah I had to get a shim so I can use my 27.2 KS E-Ten dropper post, it's the manual lever version, used it on a few bikes now and being 27.2 size means it's pretty easy to swap around with the right shims if needed.
I can see a remote dropper might be an upgrade sometime soon, I've had a couple of Reverbs in the past, but the seatpost size will be the limiting factor I think.

Managed to put the final pieces of this bike together today.
Will give it a shakedown ride over the weekend , but all seems fine after a quick ride down the road.
The brakes are fairly low end Shimano but did a good enough job on my old Inbred. I have some Avid Elixir brakes that need a service ( :roll: ), so they might go on the bike at some point.
And I may switch to a shorter stem, will have to see how it rides first...

Been having lots of fun with my Stiffee this year
I've changed the forks for some DT Swiss EXC150's which seem better than the old Argyles, deal with the smaller bumps as well as the bigger hits with ease, and have a lockout function which is actually pretty handy for short sections of road riding.
Also gone back to flat pedals for the summer, £15 Superstar Components flats from Planet-X, plastic bodied, but metal pins, and loads of grip available.
This thing is super fun through the turns, and in the rougher stuff the front end smoothes over the bumps, just leaving me to hang over the back end and hold on!!

On another note, I mentioned a while back that a better dropper post might be a future upgrade, but that the 30.0 seat post size was a bummer.
I've recently seen on Facebook that someone had a 30.9 Reverb dropper turned down to 30.0 with no issues, so that's possibly an option, maybe the only option! 125mm of drop would be perfect for my setup I think.

I have to say im also enjoying my stiffee fr. Quite a bike indeed.
Although im not the offroad rider, just the urban sprawl, i will say its probably the best ive ridden in a long time.
Sturdy looking animal too, cnc forged headtube and dropouts and more welding than i think you need but beefy or what That headtube is on there till dooms day

They did a "69er" back in the early 2Ks but the numbers referred to the limited run of 69 frames and not wheel size - https://bikemagic.com/bikes/cove-offer- ... -69er.html.

That said though, I did manage to cram a 27.5" wheelset into mine (with a little filing of the chainstay bridge for clearance and iirc 100mm forks up front).

Mine was a small - 15" - should never have got rid :facepalm:

If anyone out there has a small with a slightly concave chainstay bridge you know who to call
