Not long ago I sold my Cove Stiffee FR as I thought I'd like to go back to full-suspension for a change, then as I was looking around I saw this Cove Hummer Titanium frame for sale locally at a bit of a bargain price, it's as if fate had intervened, and just like that I was a Cove owner once again
I've built it up as a bit of a niche within a niche bike... Ti 26'er rigid Singlespeed, mainly as I've entered the singlespeed category in the Strathpuffer Race in January (Coronavirus permitting), so I've got a few months to get used to the bike.
I'm impressed with its lightness, 21.5lbs in current build, thanks to the (Shimano) Pro carbon legged forks, Easton Haven bars and stem, and general lack of any Geary bits I could probably lose some weight from the wheels & tyres but tbh the 26x2.4 tyres give a nice bit of cushioning to the ride.
Took it for a ride today and instantly liked it, quite similar to the Stiffee, ie FUN!!! , I can see that with a suspension Fork up front it would be a hoot on rougher terrain.
