Ok Ok I know it's not Retro, but hear is my Cove Handjob XC up for sale to fund more retro projects!
So if you fancy a top quality compact Steel Hardtail with top spec,? Here it is:
Spec list:
Frame: Cove Handjob XC small size cTc 12.75 inches Top Tube 22 inches. These are Hand welded from formed Columbus double butted tubing and is very light at just over 4 pounds, Down tube is tear drop shaped.
Fork: Fox Float 32R 130 mm
W/set: Hope XC hubs, WTB speed Disc rims, butted black spokes, Hope red Anodised Skewer set.
Tyres: New Conti Explorer Pro 170 tpi folders, or Maxxis ADvantage or IRC Mibro folders, choice of?
BB/Cranks: Truvativ Stylo XC GXP running 36/22, but can be put back to 42/32/22 (I never use a big ring!)
Brakes: Avid Juicy Seven 185 front 165 rear
Headset: Cane Creek fully sealed
Stem/bars: On One 80 mm, Ti bolt kit, (sub 135 grammes) ITM riser Lite(nice and lite & slim)
Pedals: Crank Bros Smarty or Shimano 424, or Onza Purple flatties?
Drive train: Sram 8 spd shifters X7 r.mech, XT front, Sram Cassette/chain.
Seat Post KCNC bear bone layback Scandium, 135 grams far lighter and stronger than any Carbon, but can swap for a carbon non lay back type( 175 g)
Saddle: WTB Devo or WTB Pure Race choice of either.
Condition is 95 percent, frame has been heli taped, rims/spokes have some marks but still look good. Anodised red headset spacers and cage bolts, to match brake pad adjusters. Very light and fast Hardtail, that handles like a dream.
New put together cost around £1600, open to offers/swaps, poss full sus trail bike?[/img]
