Cove Bike Guru's

CrewD

Retro Newbie
Hoping there are some Cove bike Guru's on here that can help with the differences between the Handjob xc frames over the span of their production run.
For example cable routing, above or below top tube and am I right in saying the geometry was tweeked at some point to accommodate a longer fork.

TIA

I don't know if it helps but here are a couple of pics of Handjobs I've owned. The first was bought new in 2004 (rear V and disc mounts, above TT routing) and built up originally with Marz MX Comp 105mm forks before going rigid. The second one was bought in 2011 (below TT routing) but never made it to the build as I felt it was too long for me (both 15.5" frames btw).

From what I have found I think it is the late models that had the under tt cable routing.

Interesting to see the older model with a rigid fork as that is what I have planned for when I find a decent 17.5 frame.
I want to run it as a mini mullet with 27.5 front wheel so looking at an identity rebate xl 1420 fork.

Until I find a handjob frame I am going to do the build with the stiffee frame I have hanging in the workshop
