As some may have seen, I posted up a thread in the retro road section to identify some Campagnolo components from a frame that I had bought and was awaiting delivery on.
I received it today, which arrived just in time for my birthday and was a great present to myself!
I've stripped it down now, but it came with full Campagnolo components and Syntace TT bars and extensions.
Initial plans are for a deep clean, identify all components and then work out how to build it up. Despite the geometry of the frame, I will never be a time trialer, and pushing a 54/42 crank also fills me with dread!
Thoughts are to re-use all components and see if I can get away with a pair of shallow drop bars - failing that, I may fit the syntace bars without the extensions and pop some period downtube shifters on. I think this will be a fast/summer commuter (if we ever get back to work!) so may even try a single chainring with suitable gearing.
Chucked on a spare set of wheels for these pics
