I've always said GE-OS for GIOS but when I listened to this all became clear they are still wrong and I'm right

I'm sorry but it isn't, at least not in the video above.
Sometimes only Italian won't do. It needs the right dialect, in this case the Bergamasque dialect.

The pronunciation of Gios is wrong, too. I wouldn't blame the speaker though. He's probably referring to "Ciussi", not Gios.
