i had a snowflake front for a while. never had any trouble with it even racing on it twice a week and riding it every day.
turned heads for sure.
had a friend who went nuts out and had his rear non drive side snowflaked as well! now that was flash, but then again he also put 3 in 1 oil on his legs to get a better tan so.....

My reasons to vote Cool.

Looked good (though not as good as radial).
Only seen on retro bikes.
I just bought a pair of wheels and the front is snowflaked.
Different. On it's own that's almost enough to make something cool in a mass produced, follow the sheep (not that sheep) type world.

Definitely cool.
