COOLWALL TIME! Were snowflaked wheels COOL?

Ok - we are injecting some life into the COOL WALL again...

Thanks for sending me all your suggestions - I have now compiled a long list...

Now we all like a good debate but some of the items that people have suggested are obviously 'cool' or 'uncool'...(like Trimbles for example, which as you know, are just totally sub zero. In fact I didnt even include that area as its occupied by said frame...)

I'm looking for those particular bits of MTB kit that people are a little unsure of. Toe clips. Suspension seatpins. Semi-slicked tyres. You know.

Ok - this month:

SNOWFLAKE PATTERNED WHEELS or general "odd" lacing. I guess this includes radial etc too.

Good suggestion!

Snowflake lacing - waste of a good wheel. Hard to build, creak like (*^£. More weight and less strength. Hard to clean and look pants.

Looked cool, you could always spot your front wheel when someone had nicked it and stuck it on thier own bike as well, I also think radial looks cool too.

Jez - i have a big problem with this debate! Whilst radial lacing rocks (as you'll see from my gallery pictures I've been running radial fronts on all bikes since '93) i HATE snowflake with an equal pashion! How do i vote now :roll: :?

(May even confuse self as currently building a 'straight pull spoke wheel using a very Tioga hub but waiting for Rumpfy to reply to my PM!)
