Never ridden one or, to be honest, seen them before (at least as far as my hazy memories of the 90's go). In terms of actual ability to do the job (from the comments above) it sounds as if it was fairly uncool BITD. Looking at it fresh though it seems to epitomise the spirit of MTB back then: small companies coming up with the 'next big thing' and creating some fairly mad and cool looking stuff even if, in retrospect, they didn't necessarily always work that well. In that spirit, and based on the fact I didn't have to lug one up a hill, I had to vote cool.

I have a Kirk Revolution in my workshop; it's not mine but seems to be in permanent residence in the back room.
When it's out on display in the main workshop it always gets plenty of attention from customers and visitors, especially when the frame flex is demonstrated.
It's a real talking point.
The next time I have a Pinarello Dogma or a Cervelo S5 in the workshop, I'll wheel out the Kirk to see which gets the public vote.
Back in the day, aged 16, I did think they were cool... I'm on the fence right now.

After having been the owner of an original MTB & 2 revolutions (all 3 snapped) and able to ride my brothers road Kirk back in the day i have to say:-

Sure, the Revolutions were heavy, and flexy once the corrosion set in, but just for their sheer weirdness and notoriety I think they're cool.
I have the earlier Precision mountainbike version of the roadbike frame. To be honest, although it's pretty stiff, it only comes in one (too big for me) size and the tyre clearance and BB height are more cyclocross than mudplugger, but it rides well:
