COOLWALL: Are bar-ends cool?

Orange Ram Horns were just plain awful...I loved my Onza Ti, and my current X-Lite pro alto 1's.

What really gets my goat are those who put their barends either upside down or back to front, wheel chair style! :shock:

I bought some carbon bar-ends on impulse on Friday for a race on Saturday and they were a god-send. Stubbies, naturually. They look supercool on a flat bar, too.

Definitely agree that they're a no-no on risers

I used to have an all in one bar, I think it was called a Brahma Bar, it had extra long grips that went all the way round the curved bar end part. Were these ever cool?

I had Brahma bars as well, coupled with a Flexstem I must have had about 2" travel when on the ends of them.

It was amazing when I went back to flat bars and a normal stem... so much more control

Another downer on the those Brahma's was that your hands were always cooped up because the curves meant the grips had to be nearer the middle - nice idea, but rubbish in use.
