COOL WALL VOTE - "Are Kona's Cool or Uncool"

Really suprised by this! I thought everyone loved Konas for some reason!
I really like them- long slopey top tubes and good paint/decals make for a very attractive looking bike. Everyone at school used to lust after one back in the day so i guess thats why they're still on my want to own list.
Never ridden one, like.

This is really surprising me. When the Lava Dome is back from the painters, I'd better not get the "hey thats nice but Konas are uncool."

Uncool is a Trek 930 or a Giant Rincon. Yawn. Konas did it different, they spec'd rigid forks on their top line bikes long after anyone else did. Their stuff worked, unlike a lot of the "niche" framebuilders back in the day. People who knock them - have you tried riding one off the bikepath? Nothing ruled the East Coast woods where I grew up like the Konas. Some of the US people here, back me up.

I rode Konas in 1991+. I switched to a Pace in 1995.

'Gubbins' bit of a tricky one really, I guess it sort of means 'Nonsense/Rubbish' ...
