I scored this cook bros 3 bar pro cruiser off the side of the road recently. I don’t know too much about cook bros stuff. But, these bikes are pretty sought after at least in the Bmx scene. Looks like this one was set up with some gears and drum brakes to be an OG mtb. Serial number dates it to around 1980/1981. Not sure what the plan for it is at the moment. Hoping to learn some more about cook bros and what way to bring it to life. The bad: there’s a rust pop in the bottom of the chainstay. But, talking with some frame builders locally they seem to think they can take care of that. I’m only worried that it has too much value to the collector crowd for it to be built with my taste in funky bar and gravel builds.
