This is nice - they have the aluminium (sic) spool on them - I wonder if there was ever a production graphite. I have seen a front QR hub but never the rear. For the time, screw-on makes sense and I wouldn't imagine a freehub body model was ever conceived of.

Agreed. Love the really early stuff. There was a chap on FB last month (iirc) who posted a shot of his garage with 4 or 5 early full CB equipped bikes. They make crazy $$$ Love the forks on that 83 bike above :cool:

Yeah, that fork is so cool - I love how it matches up with the rear stays on the frame. Always wondered about the 'cooky' looking dogbone stem but on this bike it totally makes sense. Mid 80's was too early for me - I started around early 90's so missed all of this vintage...
