Anyone know more about these? 1985 but guessing they didn't see production... Love Cook Bros stuff but never seen these hubs anywhere else before. They seem like aluminium flanges with graphite spools...

There was a 1989 Cook Bros DH Bonzo Fury bike of Bob Allen's which may have had them on it but I haven't seen any pics of them...

Awesome bike that..!

Never knew there were such things as CBR hubs, but now I'm curious to hear what the outcome of the extensive test was..
Does anyone have the August issue of that mag you clipped the picture from ;)?

According to MOMBAT, the ad you posted is from June of 1985. They also put this out the same month:

I've been searching, not a lot of info out there on the hubs. I found a link to the Bob Allen bike above, it has XTR hubs:

Since hub info is scarce, I'll just provide some juicy Cook goodness as a pleasant diversion.

Soooo much porn in this thread.

Agreed. Love the really early stuff. There was a chap on FB last month (iirc) who posted a shot of his garage with 4 or 5 early full CB equipped bikes. They make crazy $$$ Love the forks on that 83 bike above
