Bought this last week off S8-Tom but in the meantime I managed to get my hands on a Parkpre PFR stem which is exactly what I was after, hence this has become surplus to requirements.

I don't think you paid way too much for them...I've been buying a few things on ebay and it's just a question of luck as to when your selling something and how many people need that bit for a project. i got outbid on a messy looking pair of GT rigid forks and three weeks later got a better pair for £15 less! (I have the same length stem i bought in 1996 but with 5 degree rise)

the welds on controltech stems especially the polished ones are beautiful perfect fish scales....
