Contemplating a ultra lightweight Titanium bike

I don´t think that will save me much weight.

Components will be a mix of AX Lightness and Berk + bits I make myself.

Nice, but I´m thinking Carbon seat.
 
I was of the opinion that SLR was carbon, i could be wrong, and probably am!

+1..there are a lot of very very light alloy friction levers out there that a good drill/dremel can make even lighter. Save that heavy internal indexing mechanism inside :LOL:
I've been thinking of mounting some on my Raleigh titanium as a bare bones project with a 39T single ring plus 11-27
Problem being that the 62cm frame is 1650g which given its size is pretty good for a 1996 bike but is never going to be a true weight weenie..
 
synthisis i really like the idea of a horizontal top tube [personally i do not like sloping t tubes] . as a cool retro type build . i see they do a touring type
fame with a longish head tube on that site you recomended. i coud not messege them, i managed to create a password but still could not e mail off to them about the eir prices ... . ' grease monkey ' has been writing about 1000g stainless steel frames lately' is that an option you have looked into ?
its going to be an interesting project. please use fully curved bar's :D

I´ll be riding this, so i would like some comfort.

I´ve been adding up prices, and it will not be cheap...

Retail around £11500... I´m glad I´m not paying retail.
