I´m in the mood to build a modern road bike with a little retro feel to it. To save weight, i want downtube shifters but the only ones I can find for ten speed are Shimano 7900 (I want Sram Red on the bike) Since weight is the main goal here (sub 5 kg) I would like some suggestions for alternatives.

ISP frame that should save me some weight saving in theory. Been looking at Srams TT900 shifters, I think they can be modified as downtube shifters.

'synthesis' you want a sub 5k ? is that for the whole build complete ? please launch a build thread when you start
and please inc the cost of each bit ! i remember going over a bridge on a long down hill on my 12k roady, doing about 60mph. i got hit with a cross wind and it blew me at least 1.5 metres off my line. i was 12stones so not light m self.

In Denmark we do not have any down hill riding, highest point in the country is 170.86 meters. The complete build under 5 kg yes, closer to 4 kg than 5.
