Condor Dave Yates Diablo

Yes, I've replaced the brakes that where wrong NOS, stem NOS, handlebars New. And £250 "mark up", I'm breaking even and know I'll be knocked down.

I appreciate that you have made changes but If I were to purchase it the only bits that would be staying would be the frame fork stem & saddle (& the origional tyres). For me the black LX kit is not a perfect match to the frame. GLWS 👍

OK, thanks. The brakes literally didn't work with the tyres so that had to change. I went with what was already fitted regarding the LX.

What were the tyres and pedals on it? They look pretty decent you don’t scrap them did you?

Surely it would be worth fitting the original tyres and pedals then cabling up the bike up and taking some better photos. Otherwise, from a buyers perspective, it’s hard to see how you are adding value over the previous sale

With all due respect, the ‘upgrades’ you have made have reduced the value of this bike rather than increased it I’m afraid.

Fitting brakes that work? The brake bosses have narrow spacing so the arms of the v brakes rubbed on the tyre. The frame was made for a bottom pull front mech so that was fitted rather than a top pull. Both where NOS. The stem is NOS period correct. I do understand about the tyres and handlebars but I was going to use the bike but plans have changed. As per listing the original bars and stem are included.

Tyres have been moved on to a new home as I didn't have a use for them and wasn't expecting to sell.

Honestly, I loose out more than I make on sales. Look at the Alpinestar I have up. £200 loss on asking. Rando frame, £50 loss, Surly I sold a few weeks ago, £50 loss. Its not like I'm some flipped trying to make a cash grab. I use and ride bikes daily.

I'm not making money on this either by the time I caught a train and imported the NOS parts...

Sadly, that's very often the cost of the hobby....in fact any hobby.

Problem is that all the extra spent, is never reflected in the sale price...that's still fixed by what the market will pay.
