As a thought experiment, I wanted to build this sexy frame up under the premise "what if brifters/ergoshifters was never invented?" I found the frame in Sweden, listing included another frame, a Vincini in what I believe is Columbus Aelle in size 60cm. This is in SL tubing size 56cm. Chose to go with Shimano Ultegra 6500 9 speed group, and since I was going to use downtube shifters, I chose Sunrace since they are with index. Wheels kind of fell into my lap, the Zipp 202´s are in like new condition, bought them for €120! Glued on to them are Challenge Elite tubs in 25mm. Crankset is Mighty/Stronglight compact (50-34T) in 170mm. Brake levers are Saccon Aero, cheap as chips and got that modern feel, wide as a brifter and good braking feel. Handlebar is Dead Piega compact, Modolo stem and Procraft post, topped with a Fi:zik Arione R3. Enjoy.
