Good news.

If the cups and or races are damaged, you are as well to ditch the headset as spares will be as much as a new one, unless someone here has a crown race in good condition in which case some new balls could give it a new lease of life.

I'm gonna buy a new record headset in the not so distant future to replace this old worn out thing.
