Hi I it has gone to a retrobike member, all be it a very new one :)

I plan on building it to original spec as much as possible where parts availability permits.

It could take me a while as I am working on a 2006 Giant XTC SE to tow our toddlers trailer, and only get one day a week to work on it.

Recently stripped down and sold off my 1997 Marin Quake 9 FRS, and regretting doing that. I had to fund the Giant build :(

Good stuff, well it didn't go for as much as I hoped but its good its going to someone that will enjoy it.

I was surprised it did not go for more too

The only compensation I can offer at the moment is that I will always look after it, and will post pictures when its finished.

Did you buy it new back in the day, and is it a 10mm rear or standard quick release?

Ive been busy trying to find details of 1999/2000 commencal bikes, and most of the stuff has been in french :)

It's a normal 135mm rear end for QR hubs, as for how I got it come down to the fact that I own a bike shop " Gone Biking Mad " and I striped the bike down for the frame and sold the parts in the shop as the parts were a little budget for me but that frame just had to be mine.

I know someone who has a mint 2000 catalogue he'd sell for about a tenner posted. A lot of it is in French but the specs are all in French and English. Let me know if you're interested.

Yeah the olympics did bike shops a favour it seems :D

Thanks for info on the frame hudders.

I might send you a PM Renaldo, if my french contacts do not come up with anything :) and thank you for letting me know about the offer.
