Commencal frame

That's my frame, and it needs a good home.
It's a very nice looking frame, and I assume built by the new company of the man who previously owned Sunn, but you don't give much information on it, nor a side-on picture. I would be interested to know its year, c-c length of top tube and weight.

The add has been amended with all the info you asked for aside the history of commencal, I'm not good with words and can't see that is important, you clearly know commencal stems from Sunn and its someone like yourself I hope the frame goes to, any more questions you have please ask.

I think its a 2000 frame, first year of Commencal after Max and co. left Sunn. They only made 3 MTB models - the aluminium Supernormal and the steel Love and Combi models. The Love and Combi shared the same frame, just painted different colours and with different stickers.
The Combi was the lowest specced model and came with a Alivio / ESP 7.0 drivetrain and a Rock Shox Jett fork, but still a nice frame and worthy of better gear. The frame is double butted cromo but not sure what kind of steel - it was just listed as Nuts CM.

Must admit I'm almost talking myself into it

Cheers for that, your right about the spec, but it didn't stay like that for long :)

Commencal

Hi I it has gone to a retrobike member, all be it a very new one :)

I plan on building it to original spec as much as possible where parts availability permits.

It could take me a while as I am working on a 2006 Giant XTC SE to tow our toddlers trailer, and only get one day a week to work on it.

Recently stripped down and sold off my 1997 Marin Quake 9 FRS, and regretting doing that. I had to fund the Giant build :(
