I can't make out the head badge either. Best to go round and see the said bike in person.

The head tube badge says 'Topbike'. The seat tube decal says 'Carrefour'. In other words, it's a supermarket bike. But, if the third post here - http://cyclurba.fr/forum/10680/carrefou ... ionID=1169 - is to be believed, it's a supermarket that sold bikes with Columbus tubing once upon a time! :?

Columbus make some fairly ordinary tubing. This is probably the equivalent of a reynolds 501 carrera from halfords. Not to be sniffed at but nothing that special either...
