Columbus CX tubing, who has wisdom to impart?

I'm trying to find information on Columbus CX tubing but I can find very little on line. Was it only available to Colnago and is/was it always oval? many thanks

Thanks, this suggests that indeed it was a custom set for Colnago.

I was wondering as i have seen a different Italian frame marked as CX frame (where CX is not cyclocross) , but it's not oval and not a Colnago so it must be made of something else.

No not crimped and hard to tell from the photos I have seen if they are round or oval. the Fork is marked CX and is" aero" in shape, but the frame could, of course, be anything

Columbus made gilco for colnago but i've seen that come up on a couple of other italian frames so the same may be possible for other 'colnago' tubes.
Although i can't be 100% sure it's true gilco or something that just looks to be gilco.
