Colnago

Yes I think it's probably a good deal. The seller contacted me as I had bought my previous bike from him. See my post in the 'introduce yourself here' section. I'm not that well informed as to the history of Colnago;s, but feel that I got a great bike for a good price previously, and so thought to let others know about his one. My transaction was all conducted through Google translate which is rubbish, so I took a bit of a gamble. I'm very happy with my bike though, and so despite a natural tendency to be suspicious of online sellers of second hand goods purporting to be a certain something, or have a particular provenance my judgement proved to be correct as I went ahead and bought a bike from him and had it shipped over.

Thank's for the replies. I'm enjoying learning about these older Italian steel bikes as much as owning one.

Incidentally. I picked up a Campag super record rear mech for a tenner today from a local chap selling loads of old bits and bobs. He told me he had a very good condition Rossin ? frame. 20"" if I remember rightly. His gumtree ad for bits is here. One at random.

If any one is interested his contact details are included.

No, just the rear mech as a spare. I've got a set of hubs on the original tubular shod wheels that came with the bike. I managed to pick up a set of Mavic module E2 rims that have Spidel hubs which a marvellous. Apart from the slightly awkward fact of having a French threaded freewheel I got a slightly lower i.e 24t gear which helps me tackle the climbs up here a bit easier.
Lovely chap, it seemed a bit mercenary to buy all the other bits just to sell on for a few quid more on fleabay so I just took what I wanted.
