Colnago Super 1974 Molteni Orange

Devout Dirtbag
Well hopefully someone will appreciate this lovely Colnago and give it a new home. I have been gradually restoring her and now she is ready to go.

Frame is sound without and dents or dings. Paintwork is very good. The only negatives are the chrome on the fork crown is poor and that some of the bolts are quite rusty. Mechanically the bike rides really well. I have serviced the BB, headset and hubs all of which just needed some fresh grease.

toptube 54cm ct-ct
seattube 53cm ct-ct
headtube 11.5cm

Groupset is fully panto'd Campagnolo. 3T bars, stem, seatpost and saddle. Hubs are Zues with Arc en Ciel Super Champion tubular rims.

Brake levers have nos Gali rubber hoods, pedals are Campagnolo with Cristophe toe clips, bartape is new as are the Brooks bar ends, chain is DID and cable clips are Dura ace.

Price is £850

Photo's I think tell the best story.

Lovely bike, but my 10 cents...
It's a top price so attention to detail stuff:
Photos with a plain background and sharpen images
sympathetic bar tape colour...not green!
crankbolt covers
a little olive oil on the saddle will bring the colour back!
chain length?

I have made a few adjustments as to the finer finishing points. Saddle has been oiled, crankbolt covers sorted and chain lengthened, just need to take a few photos when the weather inproves. The bartape is staying as I really like it (colours of the Irish flag).

Hi,

Nice bike! Don't suppose you or anyone knows where I might get hold of a 24mm seat post to fit what I think is a Peugeot Carbolite frame circa late 1980's?!
