Clockwork steerer size

Hi guys, im looking to buy some suspension forks for my 1991 clockwork, can some one just confirm a couple of things to me please, is the threaded headset 1 inch? also will a fork with a 140mm threaded streerer fit without any problems?

1991 is definitley 1"

re the steerer length it depends on the frame size and headset stack height - mine is a 21" 1992 and the stack height is approx 180mm from race to top with a standard shimano headset...

better to go longer obv as you can space it/cut it later

Ah right well thanks for that, mine is a 19inch, im fairly sure the 140 will be ok, just thought id ask the question, if someone can definatly confirm that would be great, cheers
