And me! I used to go there when I lived in High Wycombe around '68/69. It was a nice ride over there especially in the off-season. Yes, Ethel's fruit cake and the thick chunks of bread and honey. Lovely!

I certainly did. Last time I saw him was when I went to Ghent with him and Pat Adams to see Het Volk around '92 ish. I think he had moved to the West Country by then?

Edit - BTW, I think his name was spelled 'Fryer'.

I remember seeing two matching tangerine coloured Cliff Peters bikes at the Worcester St John's road race around 1958/9. I'd never seen a finish like it. It almost seemed as though they were chrome plated with a transparent lacquer over them. Probably one of the most amazing paint jobs I've ever seen.

Any clues with the frame number? I don't think it's a Major Nichols build. Unusual and very nice lug cuts.

Could be a respray? The lugs are nice and possibly quite distinctive to 'someone who knows'. Sadly I don't!

Good evening. 2021 and lockdown enabled me to refurbish the Cliff Peters frame that Cliff, my father's cousin, supplied to me back in the late 1970s/early 1980s. I recall the frame was built by Barry Whitcomb of SE London. Fortunately I still had some of the original decals and Argos in Bristal did a fabulous spray job. On more Cliff Peters frame to renovate! This Cliff supplied to me in the early 1970s but I think it was an earlier build having Nervex lugs. I also in lockdown secured via the internet Cliff Peters shoe plates and sprint carriers!
