Clearance on 94/95 S works Stumpjumpers

Anybody got any idea if a 2.1 will fit in the back?

The bike I promised myself as a courier in the 80’s was a Muddy Fox Courier Comp, managed to get one, and apart from being a tank it won’t take a 2.1. Fun as it is I’d like something with more clearance and although a roadie at heart Stumpjumpers always were a fave.

Any help greatly appreciated and for that matter any info or recommendations on classic MTBs that take a 2.1 also grateful for!

They will be fine with 2.1 no problem.

If you want more clearance, anything without a chain stay bridge [eg. a Bontrager] is even better.

Think there might be one up for sale here at the moment as it happens if you search the for sale section.
