Classic Bike Show 2011

The annual Bygone Bykes Club Classic Show will be on Sunday 17 April at Shelf between Halifax and Bradford. As usual, all classic road bikes will be welcome and this year's 'theme' is 'The British League of Racing Cyclists' which promoted the sport of 'Massed Start' road racing in the UK from 1942 until 1958 when it amalgamated with the National Cyclists Union to form the British Cycling Federation. I have put a more details in a thread on the Road Forum section with a note to say that we are looking for a period P J Stallard (the Founding Father of the BLRC) bike to display if at all possible.

It now looks as if we might have a surfeit of Stallards! Possibly 4 on show - plus loads of other bikes.

The event was very successful, some lovely bikes there - and a great selection of memorabilia including trade team jerseys from the 1950's. However, the only forum member who came as a visitor that I met was NickD. Where were the rest of you?
