Clarkson gone and.......

Re:

JC could front a new show, he'd be a natural - Top Ego.

Features could be
"spit the dummy on the test track"
"teddy throwing by an egotistical star in a reasonably priced pram"

I don't see why someone else couldn't take his place. There are enough petrol headed celebs that could do it.
Should the programme fold, the other employees would simply been put onto other projects.

Will the outside events stop?
The events company (Live Nation) have said the current UK dates will continue but no mention of who will be involved as yet.

The bloke I know seems to spend all his time abroad organising stuff, when I last saw
him he was saying how he didn't like Durban much. It sounded like it was major part of his business, he did say TopGear wanted to employ him rather than whatever the setup is/was.
I had to admit I hadn't watched an episode for about 10 years.

I despise bullying and as that's what's been reported then that's the reason he goes. I can't imagine a lesser ranked employee thumping Clarkson remaining in post. If May and Hammond are showing solidarity with a bully then they can walk too.

Anyways, the presentation style has been milked to death by the incumbent three. The best things about TG are the photography and the locations the cars are set in and, correct me if I'm wrong, that makes the production team more important than the presenters - not reflected in salaries and treatment I'll wager.

Re:

Stopped watching TG years ago. Format just getting so tiresome and getting boring. Must admit the three of them made the show and Clarkson was pretty funny at times - they tried an Oz version and by crikey it was crap. Prefer Fifth Gear - more about the cars ( instead of just boof heads smoking tires) and still got personalities in the hosts. Think some of them hosted TG in the early days if I remember right....

Re:

@LGF,

You have put into words my feelings exactly!

Got to admit I'm gutted its finished in its current format.
