Clamping V Brakes mounts onto Carbon fork - Look Fournales

Bought a Look Fournales carbon fork off ebay - wrong v brake mounts were supplied. They came with a smaller diameter mount for probably a Pace RC31.

Can I clamp them straight onto the carbon legs? I have seen it done but I am a bit not sure.

I probably wouldn't do it, but hey..... Plus they'll be at the wrong height for your rim. I love Fournales forks.... got two sets a medium and a large set.

That won't work. Clamping the adapters below the aluminum surface will put your brake studs too low compared to a 26" rim brake surface. Unfortunately those aluminum shells are positioned just at the right height for the brake mounts.

I got the correct ones from my mate`s fork and they seem to be 34mm internal diameter. Please see if you have suitable ones. Thanks a lot in advance!

Looks like you could be in luck as the pair I have are 34mm internal diameter.

A previous owner painted them black but it comes off easily to reveal the original alloy finish.

I wish I'd measured them a while ago now as wanted a set of fournales for a build and could have bought a set, but they were missing the v mounts and I searched for a while and couldn't find any.

Mate just measured the fork collar and it is 35.5mm. Will take the chance. PM on the way.
