Wonder what the score with the seller was then? Why did he use a different photo if he had an actual bike and then just gave a full refund without question - I guess return shipping would've cost him too much and be a hassle for him :?

well, teach him to fly straight from now on ay?
I don't know what to do with it at mo, thinking put the deore xt on the stratocaster, and use the black campagnolo for the argentovivo on this...
will definitely have to strip, so I can clean inside tubes and wax, appears to be black satin over silver or chrome, so will not be too hard to just re touch outside of frame
just got some wide tyres and a cinelli volare saddle on for pre strip build perspective

I stripped the frame bar the headset, which I'll keep, and bb, because I don't have that tool, as you can see, frame has quite some wear, nothing like the frame in the auction listing, also the used black campagnolo olympus group with thumb shifters, i think it will suit
not sure if i should re touch the whole frame if i can get the right satin , or leave ratty

I managed to get another gruppo, a used Record OR one, with a ceramic rim wheelset, which I think I'll use with the black gruppo on the next machine, black on black, silver on silver, I think I'll use the Record on the silver argentovivo, and the poor old stratocaster can get the deore xt, pic of the auction image

well, the record or gruppo turned up, slightly more worse for wear than i anticipated, so a change of plan, again, silver on black and black on silver

after a long soak i finally gor the next machine's bb out, which is press fit, so casing is threadless..old is quite stiff so I'll see it the bearings have gone, will post frame mock up when dry out
sold the deore xt group that came with the machine, so, now, all mtb's including the pinarello will campagnolo equiped, some one gruppo is nos, one a mix, the others used , just need a brake set to complete all
