Which right shifter? I have a left deore which I doubt you mean or the remote shifters which connect to your normal shifters form bar ends or something? They're not rapid rise new ones, they are 1998 (m950's?)

Depends if your LX crank is 5 arm compact drive? You'll know if it's compact drive by measuring between the bolts centre to centre and it will be 55.4mm (64.7mm if it's standard drive)
